.Sustainability

I believe in projects that are socially just, economically viable, ecologically sustainable and culturally acceptable, recovering techniques, values and traditions.
This website was born in alignment with my values. It was designed to use as little energy as possible and introduce my story with simplicity: no heavy images, videos or SEO codes.
Dark background is default. The architecture is serverless, only running on demand. As well as the content update, which separates the site from the CMS (content management system), without having to make constant requests.
These modifications minimize energy use and therefore carbon emissions. Today it emits 0.02g of CO2 per visit, which makes it cleaner than 98% of sites tested by websitecarbon.com. To minimize the carbon emissions generated by the traffic on this site, I have purchased 3 trees through Treedom.

.About me

Origins and Cultural Fusion

Born in 1984 in São Leopoldo, in the heart of southern Brazil, I have always felt that art was my true language—the way I make sense of the world and share my emotions. As an Italo-Brazilian artist, my creative expression is a fusion of two vibrant cultures, where the warmth of Brazil meets the elegance of Italy. This dual heritage has shaped my artistic journey, guiding me toward a visual language that is bold, textured, and deeply experimental.

The Language of Abstraction

My work is rooted in abstraction. Through canvas paintings and paper drawings, I explore the power of color, movement, and unconventional materials, allowing intuition to lead the way. Every brushstroke is a dialogue between spontaneity and intention, between emotion and form. My artistic vision is open and inclusive, shaped by my travels across more than 30 countries and fueled by a desire to transcend barriers—cultural, personal, and artistic.

Early Artistic Development

Art has been a constant presence in my life. At just nine years old, I began my formal training at Atelier Zeni, under the mentorship of Cristina & Marcelo Zeni. There, I experimented with a wide range of techniques and materials, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. During these formative years, I participated in group exhibitions in São Leopoldo, discovering the joy of sharing my creations with an audience. Later, my studies in Communication Sciences – Advertising expanded my understanding of visual storytelling, reinforcing the connection between image, message, and emotion.

Artistic Influences and Techniques

My artistic influences are as eclectic as my journey. The ethereal stains of Helen Frankenthaler, the raw energy of Jackson Pollock, the depth of Iberê Camargo, the meditative color fields of Mark Rothko, and the bold gestures of Robert Motherwell all resonate in my work. Their impact is evident in my layered compositions, fluid textures, and relentless pursuit of expressive freedom. I embrace experimentation, often trading traditional brushes for sponges, adhesive tape, spoons, and spatulas, seeking to push the boundaries of texture and form.

Recognition and Milestones

One of the defining moments of my career came in 2007, when my painting Wheel of Life won the Volkswagen Route national competition in Brazil. The piece was exhibited in São Paulo before finding a home at the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos in São Leopoldo—a milestone that cemented my confidence in my artistic voice.

A New Chapter in Florence

Since 2020, I have been based in Florence, where I continue to evolve as an artist, weaving new technologies into my creative process. My fascination with the digital realm led me to pursue a Master’s in Digital Transformation at the University of Florence between 2021 and 2022, where I deepened my exploration of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and their impact on contemporary art. This intersection between tradition and innovation has opened new avenues for my work, expanding my artistic vision beyond the physical canvas.

Solo Exhibition and Community Engagement

In 2024, I unveiled my first solo exhibition in Florence, Presenza, an introspective journey into the relationship between humans and nature. Beyond the gallery walls, I extended my passion for inclusive art through abstract painting workshops for seniors and children, as part of the Senior Housing – Villaggio Novoli project. This experience reinforced my belief that art is not just a personal expression—it is a shared experience, a bridge between generations, cultures, and perspectives.

A Journey of Reinvention

Through my work, I invite the audience into a universe where color and movement transcend the visible, where art becomes a language of emotion, perception, and possibility. My journey is one of constant reinvention, a commitment to breaking boundaries, embracing diversity, and celebrating the beauty of the ever-changing canvas of life.
